GPU Benchmarks and Comparison: Graphic Cards Ranking 2024

Whether you are playing a game, rendering a video or designing a cute animal in ZBrush it doesn't matter! GPU has the most responsibility in the processing of these kinds of workloads. As the name suggests, GPU is designed to render graphics; They are capable of processing massive amounts of data at the same time which makes them effective for playing video games or rendering videos.

Why is graphics card benchmark important?

If you are about to buy a GPU or want to see if your graphics card still works as well as before, checking or running a benchmark is one way to find out your answer.
We have ranked all the current and new graphics cards in our charts and lists for you. From the latest Nvidia 40 series and AMD 7000 series graphics cards to previous generations. We have made this rating for you based on different uses; This list includes the best graphics cards for gaming, the most suitable for 3D design software and editing software, and even for the use of artificial intelligence.
In the latest update (March 2, 2023), the best graphics card in terms of performance is the RTX 4090 model with memory size of 24GB, which is also the most expensive graphics card! Who wouldn't want to have one? Or if you find RTX 4090's price too high there is also AMD's RX 7900 XTX; a high performance card with a more affordable price.

Top 10 GPUs worth buying in 2023 🔥

Nvidia RTX 4090

RTX 4090 is hands down the most powerful GPU which has been produced by Nvidia. RTX 3090 Ti was itself quite a beast when it came to games and productivity, but with the new architecture design and software features, Nvidia has managed to outdo itself and released the RTX 4090 with a proper generational upgrade. By all standards RTX 4090 is extreme; this beast of a GPU is capable of rendering 4k resolution at 120fps with graphics set to the highest. Like its performance, its price is also unreachable and you can find this GPU at above 1600 dollars.

Nvidia RTX 4070

This might be a controversial one but RTX 4070 with the performance that has displayed among its 40 series family, deserves your attention. With ray tracing on, you can get the same or even better results compared to an RTX 3080. Ray Tracing has no place at competitive games but many games are played for the sake of enjoying it and this software feature can make a game more visually appealing. This graphics card comes with 12 GB of VRAM. The power demand for this GPU is very low and RTX 4070 only needs 200 Watts to operate. The MSRP for this GPU is $600 and you can expect to find it at this price.

RX 7900 XTX

RX 7900 XTX is AMD’s most powerful GPU yet, and it costs much less than Nvidia’s top of the line RTX 4090. If there is any AMD graphics card that can handle 4K resolution, it’s this GPU; at this resolution, 7900 XTX can run Triple A Games at 60 FPS with high graphics settings with ease and even many of them at 120 FPS plus. AMD has also used a power efficient 5nm chipset from TSMC and the TDP rating for this card is 350 watts. The MSRP price for this GPU is $999 but currently you might find this graphics card for cheaper. The only thing that’s keeping down this GPU is Ray Tracing and FSR performance; Nvidia has always been better at these software feature and if this matter a lot to you, then sticking to Nvidia might be better.

Nvidia RTX 4060

With the MSRP price of $300, RTX 4060 is currently Nvidia’s cheapest GPU from RTX 40 Generation. This graphics card is marketed to play games at 1080p resolution and it’s doing a good job at it. With RTX 4060 you can run games smoothly at Full HD resolution with highest settings. Also, now Nvidia offers a good Ray Tracing performance at this price range which wasn’t the case for the previous generations’ entry level GPUs. RTX 4060 consumes only 115 watts of power, and unlike the rest of the 40 series graphics cards, it’s powered by an 8-pin PCIe cable.

RTX 3060 Ti

RTX 3060 Ti currently offers a good price to performance ratio and now that Nvidia and AMD’s recent offers are not looking very appealing, might be a good time to consider buying it. RTX 3060 Ti can smoothly run games at 1080P with high graphics settings. RTX 3060 Ti is only about 10% behind the new gen RTX 4060 Ti but it’s $100 cheaper. the TDP rating for this graphics card is 200 watts and it’s powered by 8-pin power cable. The price for this GPU is currently around $350 in USA. The only downside of RTX 3060 Ti might be the 8GB VRAM which may become insufficient for future demand.

RX 7900 XT

RX 7900 XT was released with the MSRP price of $899, but shortly it was dropped to $799 and is now available at around the same price. 7900 XT is AMD’s second most powerful GPU and while being a little bit cheaper, it performs about %10 better than RTX 4070 Ti. RX 7900 XT runs the GPU heavy game Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p Ultra settings (RT & FSR off) at about 120FPS. While using Ray Tracing, AMD’s graphics card falls behind RTX 4070 Ti, without any software tricks 7900 XT wins almost at every other game. The TDP rating for 7900 XT is 300 watts and AMD has equipped this GPU with 20 gigabytes of VRAM.

AMD RX 7600

RX 7600 is one of those GPUs that sits right on the budget for many people that don't want to spend a fortune to buy a graphics card. The performance to price ratio makes this graphics card an appealing offer to a lot of people.

RX 7600 is AMD’s new low-budget GPU; at Full HD resolution even with graphics set to high, it's capable of running GPU heavy games at 60FPS plus. In RX 7600’s competition with RTX 4060, AMD’s graphics card is cheaper ($269 MSRP vs $299) and displays almost the same performance with Ray Tracing off.

Also, because it’s a power efficient GPU with TDP rating of 165W, you don't have to pair it with an expensive PSU.

AMD RX 6750 XT

A year after the RX 6750 XT’s release, the price of this graphics card has been dropped significantly, and you can find it as low as $370. The performance of this card is really compelling at this price and it competes with RTX 4060 Ti in term of performance. At 1080P ultra setting, these two cards go back and forth and perform about the same (with Ray Tracing off). But 6750 XT is about a 100 dollar cheaper and offers 12GB of VRAM (instead of 8GB). The only major difference between RX 6750 XT and 6700 XT is a slight difference in memory speed; so, if 6700 XT is cheaper than the other in your region, then go for it.

AMD RX 6600

If in 2023 you are looking for the cheapest GPU to run games smoothly at Full HD, then RX 6600 is the card you are looking for. RX 6600 can run games at 1080p high setting, with more than 60 frames per second. RX 6600 competitor would be RTX 3050, while sitting at around the same price of $220, AMD beats RTX 3050 by about 20 percent. RX 6600 only needs 132 watts of power to work.

AMD RX 6800 XT

Wouldn’t you love to see a two and half year-old graphics card from AMD to beat Nvidia’s recently released GPU? there you have it, RX 6800 XT. Currently at the July of 2023, while all RTX 4080 models are above $600, you can find 6800 XT as low as 530 dollars. This is while they perform about the same if you remove Ray Tracing from the equation. Also 6800 XT comes with 16 GB of VRAM while RTX 4070 has 12 gigabytes. RX 6800 XT is all around a good graphics card if you plan to play games at 1440p, and this card can to render more than 60FPS at this resolution even at the highest settings.

Honorable mention: RX 6650 XT
