  • How much does the RTX 4090 cost?

    The MSRP price for RTX 4090 is $1499, but currently you can buy it at around $2000 from the market.

  • Is RTX 4090 overkill?

    The only scenario that you would NEED this card is if you plan to game on a 4k monitor and with the settings set to ultra, plus Path Tracing. Even then, there are other high-end graphic cards that can get you to 60FPS with the help of upscaling and frame generation. Besides gaming, this card is a monster at productive tasks like video rendering, 3D modeling and training AI. So it might worth purchasing it for these tasks.

  • Why is 4090 so expensive?

    The first reason has to do with the extreme hardware that is put into this GPU. RTX 4090 has 16384 cores (68% more than of RTX 4080), 24GB of GDDR6X memory, and it’s built on AD102. The other reason has to do with the lack of competition at this level of performance.

  • What CPU will not bottleneck a 4090?

    For Intel CPUs, any processor at the level of I7 12700F or better should be fine. For AMD processors, anything like Ryzen 7 7700X or better works well. Granted that the best CPUs give the most FPS; but choosing a cheaper CPU like the ones mentioned above, doesn’t hurt the performance that much.
